What you will do

The Property Administrator Assistant is a key member of the Property Management Team and provides day-to-day administrative support. Reporting to the Property Manager the incumbent is responsible for a variety of services related to the operation of retail and commercial properties inclusive of but not limited to AR, A/P processing, rent roll application and production, tenant liaison and communication.

Prepare and process P.O.s and code, process and enter incoming invoices via Yardi.

Day-to-day management of accounts payable issues and supplier invoices

Ensure vendor Insurance and WSIB certificates are up to date.

Initiate the monthly AR process through the application of rent, EFT and cheque payments.

Processing of bank deposits and form filling and production of the monthly rent-roll and review for variances

PAD/EFT tenant enrollment, oversight, and administration.

Support the Property Administer on accounts receivable reporting.

Backfilling for support staff of reception duties including the answering and dispatching calls, receipt and distribution of mail.

Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you bring

Completion of college in a related field or accounting

1 to 3 years of commercial/retail property administration experience would be asset.

Nice to have experience with Yardi Property Management Software

Proficiency in accounting and financial management (A/P & A/R)

Strong software application skills (MS Office, Excel)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
