- Supervises and participates in cleaning, moving furniture and equipment, cutting grass, removing snow, and other ground maintenance.
- Makes minor repairs and operates boilers.
- Trains new employees and evaluates work performance.
- Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be in Senior Custodian title or eligible for promotion from a Senior Custodian Civil Service list.
- Graduation from High School or possession of aHigh School Equivalency Diploma and two (2) years experience in commercial cleaning practices or general building maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing; OR six (6) years experience in commercial cleaning or general building maintenance, including carpentry,electrical, HVAC, or plumbing; OR an equivalent combination of above.
- Possession of a valid Class D NYS driver’s license.
Qualifications Desired:
- Positive evaluations.
- Proven ability to interact with faculty/staff, students and parents.
