Since 2018 the organization, in particular, Public Partnerships Division at UNICEF HQ, has been consistently investing efforts in improving recognition and visibility of public sector partners vis-à-vis provided resources. Through various feedback mechanisms, including annual surveys, bilateral meetings and high-level consultations, UNICEF learned that such visibility and visibility products produced and shared in a timely manner and for the right audiences make an impact on both UNICEF’s ability to raise funds, including quality funding, and facilitates partners’ advocacy efforts around the importance of contributions for children globally vis-à-vis domestic and international stakeholders.There is a lot of visibility and visibility products developed and shared at country, regional and global level that is, however, scattered on various platforms and which decision-makers representing major government partnerships may not have systemic and consistent access to.To address this problem, UNICEF plans to produce and share with major government partners individual quarterly and End-Year reports that will curate most of the visibility material developed by UNICEF at country, regional and global level and disseminated via its and affiliated public channels.Scope of WorkThrough this Request for Proposal for Quotation for Services (RFQS) UNICEF is seeking to hire an individual consultant to produce 15 Donor Country Quarterly Reports and 1 Year-End Report on visibility and recognition of the following major government partners: * The United States of America and its major institutions, BHA, PRM (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)

  • Germany and its major institutions, GFFO and BMZ (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Sweden and its major institutions (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Norway and its major institutions (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • United Kingdom (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • The Netherlands (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Australia (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Switzerland (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Belgium (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Japan (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)
  • Luxembourg (1 Q3 and 1 Q4 report)

In addition, a consultant shall produce a 2024 End-Year Visibility and Recognition Summary Report that will include all 15 countries-donors and major results achieved through partnerships with them.All reports will be shared directly with relevant government partners, respective National Committees and featured regional and/or country offices of UNICEF and relevant HQ Divisions.To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in one or more of the following fields is highly desirable: Communications, Marketing, Media and Journalism, Writing end editing, International relations,Political science * Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required *:

  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Skills in developing and designing documents for external audiences
  • Experience of working with any document design and producing programme such as (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Advanced PPT)
  • Previous experience in producing similar type of products (documents, reports, or communication materials)
  • Knowledge of UNICEF style and brand is an asset
  • Previous experience of working with UNICEF or UN is an asset
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
