1.    Background

As a part of the DELIVER in health project in Iraq to promote Durable Endeavors and Local Initiatives for Vulnerable Communities’ Empowerment and Resilience in Health, PUI will provide technical capacity building to their local partner Hope Makers Organization for Women. The training will focus on building the technical capacity of the HMOW staff in technical themes that are relevant to the areas of intervention of HMOW and to their capacity needs

Child Resilience: Based on the Save the Children Resilience programme, this training aims to empower the HMOW staff in providing structured workshops to caregivers and children. The program aims to develop psychological resilience. This involves teaching skills that help children cope with adversity, build self-esteem, manage emotions, develop positive principles, and develop a strong sense of identity.

Based on international ToT programs, the training will build the capacity of the MHPSS staff in HMOW to conduct these sessions and to cascade these trainings to others in their team.
