Job description
Can you see yourself monitoring and expediting orders, collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to meet schedules, maintain an optimized supply chain and to resolve any potential issues? Does the idea of acting as the key point of contact to ensure orders are received and processed by the vendors, tracked, and delivered accurately within predetermined deadlines sound good to you? What will you be doing!
- Monitoring and tracking status of purchase orders and related documentation, ensuring they are processed promptly.
- Identifying potential delays or issues in the delivery process and take proactive measures to expedite shipments, avoiding any disruptions in supply chain activities, ability to recognize issues quickly and escalate to appropriate management for resolution.
- Maintaining clear and effective communication channels with suppliers, vendors and internal CNL departments providing updates on order statuses and anticipated delivery dates.
- Addressing and resolving any problems or discrepancies related to orders, shipments, or deliveries promptly and professionally.
- Fostering positive relationships with suppliers, maintain favorable terms and conditions for timely deliveries.
- Ensuring overall governance model is adhered to and executed related to issues, escalation and problem resolution.
- Continuously identifying areas for process improvement within the supply chain and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Generating regular reports on order status, delivery performance, management dashboards, and additional requirements as determined, either regularly or ad hoc e.g. inventory levels for management review.
What we are looking for:
- High School diploma or equivalent, additional education in supply chain management or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Expeditor, Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
2-4 years of relevant experience * Experience with automated procurement systems – preferably Oracle
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communications skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers and transportation partners.
- Detail orientated mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for order tracking, inventory management and reporting.
- Ability to establish priorities and work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Must be able to work in a team environment both within Supply Chain and with internal clients.
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement and Logistics practices/processes and tasks with emphasis on incoterms and transportation
- Supply chain management, logistics, transportation and supplier relationship management is an asset.
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.

Location:
CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. Our Work from Home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful: laptop, monitor, external etc. Of course, we always love a visit to site when possible!
