We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our North American team. This role will focus on managing the purchasing team and overseeing category management for energy (Natural Gas, Electricity, Anode, Electrodes) and logistics (Freight and Warehouse). At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.Join us and make a difference!Your future team:You will become part of the procurement team and will be reporting to the Director of Procurement, North America.What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and lead the purchasing team across multiple North American sites.
  • Develop and manage KPIs for factory buyers to maximize productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Provide training, support, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Act as a liaison between the sourcing and procurement team and other business units.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
  • Support supplier performance measurements and manage minor claims with the Category Manager.
  • Oversee direct material purchasing and purchase planning for all North America.
  • Ensure optimal material allocation and inventory levels to meet customer orders.
  • Manage raw material invoices and ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized ERP system, managing POs and expediting back orders as needed.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, or a related quantitative discipline required.
  • Over 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or financial planning within a complex, multi-site, growth-oriented manufacturing organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and SAP.
