Focused on developing and leading programmes to deliver social impact and empower women across our value chain. Includes fundraising, donations and NGO programme management, and Social Return on Investment impact reporting.Key responsibilities:Play a lead role in activating Avon’s purpose and brand activism

  • Manage initiatives to tackle breast cancer and gender-based violence.
  • Advise on key issues related to gender equality and progress for women, actively engaging in debate, developing Avon’s position and taking actions to amplify and deliver on our purpose

Work with Avon’s markets to implement consistent donation programmes with rigorous governance

  • Drive consistent execution of Avon’s cause impact strategy and programmes across International markets.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and develop and oversee clear governance, adherence and training processes.
  • Develop Avon’s fundraising/donations strategy, developing new mechanisms and working closely with markets to increase fundraising.
  • Develop cause marketing products and strategies, working closely with the marketing team.

Grant-making and management

  • Oversee grants management and reporting..
  • Oversight of administrative/contractual processes, including Ethics and compliance and other internal policies.

Play an active role in connecting people, planet, product and profit across the organisation and with internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop new opportunities and lead projects to embed purpose into core business to create triple-line benefits.
  • Be a proactive team member, connecting with all aspects of sustainability and getting involved in projects as needed
  • Play a role in empowering women to deliver broader sustainability goals
  • Connect to Avon’s people agenda

Lead Avon’s volunteering progmme

  • Drive adoption, support markets to implement and measure impact.

Co-leads human rights due diligence

  • Play a lead role in Avon’s human rights journey, to implement due diligence to monitor and mitigate risks
  • Prepare Avon to meet the requirements of upcoming due diligence legislation

Track impact and develop new ways to measure social return on investment

  • Develop new, innovative ways to articulate Avon’s social return on investment, across our philanthropic work and core business model.
  • Lead planning and tracking of donations across Avon’s markets. Includes overseeing policy training and compliance. Analyse philanthropic metrics and develop strategy

Work Experience

  • Sustainability, social impact, fundraising, grant-making, D&I and human rights experience all desirable.
  • Strong PMO experience, preferably leading projects across matrix-managed global projects
  • Experience of working with reporting frameworks and KPI tracking.

Skills & Competencies required

  • Proven excellent technical and quantitative skills (data fluent) and an analytical mind – someone who can pinpoint problems and research smart and effective ways to deal with them.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills and the ability to think strategically across the organisation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills with the ability to inspire and motivate people with the ability to build confidence and trust with executive management and external shareholders
