Job Summary:Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Services, the YOW Purser, In-Flight Services is responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and flight attendants on board the aircraft. Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible to the Captain for duties pertaining to passenger safety and comfort as well as Supervision of Flight AttendantsResponsible for control of the onboard serviceResponsible to monitor the performance of Flight AttendantsResponsible to ensure Flight Attendant proficiency in their safety knowledge and that the highest standards of service are met on every flightResponsible to achieve a good comfortable working environment for the crew and a pleasant traveling experience for the passengersResponsible for In-Flight documentation pertinent to the flightObtain necessary flight details and to relay this information to the flight attendantCarry out duties assigned by the Captain in matters concerning passenger safety and passenger relationsAssume responsibility of the flight attendant while on assignments away from home baseResponsible for the adherence of Porters Brand and Service StandardsMentor, coach and motivate Cabin Crew to ensure the highest standards of safety and the consistent delivery of premium service onboard * Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations. Any other duties assigned by Manager, In-Flight Services

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
- Completion of secondary school
- Fluency in English. Fluency in French is a preferred asset
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a flight attendant is required
A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with the public in a customer service role is required * Previous work experience as an In-Charge Flight Attendant is considered an assetMust hold a current, valid Canadian Passport, or current, valid International Passport with current US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D)Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and successfully complete company screening processAbility to meet required medical standards (including a drug test) * Proven leadership skills from prior work experienceSuperior communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent process analysis and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate a safety-first mindsetMust successfully pass Initial Flight Attendant Training and maintain qualifications in order to operate as a PurserMust demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with the ability to proactively follow-up where needed and provide constructive feedbackMust have excellent safety and customer service knowledgeMust have the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPursers may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 2 hours of calloutMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Company Description:Since 2006, Porter Airlines has been elevating the experience of economy air travel for every passenger, providing genuine hospitality with style, care and charm.
