Now, let’s talk about you!As a member of our QA Engineering team, you will focus on defining test strategies, designing and performing tests, and ensuring the quality of software products. You’ll work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to make sure we deliver reliable and high-performance solutions to our customers, while driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Implement Test Strategy: Define test cases based on customer requirements, ensuring traceability to specifications. Write test plans (functional, non-functional, non-regression) and contribute to the non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.
- Design and Perform Tests: Design test cases, develop automated test scripts, prepare test environments, and execute test cases. You will also provide go/no-go decisions for the customer’s test campaigns and ensure that quality control is maintained throughout the project.
- Fix Problem Tracking Records (PTR): Work with developers to resolve defects, validate PTR fixes, and give go/no-go decisions for the loading of production PTRs. You will document software defects and track resolutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Participate in specification reviews, providing input on testing requirements. Communicate test activities to line organizations, developers, and product definition analysts.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of the product and continuous improvement of the testing process.
What we’re seeking:
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional Experience: Experience in QA engineering, with a focus on testing methodologies and practices. Experience in automated testing is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with test case design, scripting, and automation tools. Experience with various testing tools and frameworks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve defects and problems.
- Customer-Focused Mindset: Ability to understand customer requirements and ensure software quality aligns with those needs.
- Travel Availability: Availability to travel within the UK for on-site testing at customer locations
