Are you a new or soon-to-be graduate looking to start your career in software development and test automation? We have opportunities in our highly functional Banking Operations Scrum Teams that will allow you to take a hands-on test automation development role where you will be able to:
- Work with the Scrum Team and Product Owner to take on work that brings value to our stakeholders and clients
- Analyze User Stories and determine the best approach to validate the acceptance criteria
- Write test automation code in java using testing frameworks and libraries (such as Selenium)
- Contribute to building pipelines by creating or enhancing DevOps components
What you will need to succeed
We will require you to be an effective communicator, self-starter and team player with an affinity for continued learning and self-improvement. You will need to demonstrate your ability to think innovatively to find solutions to complex problems and act as a change contributor to get things done. We are also looking for someone who enjoys working in rapidly changing environments who can cultivate trust by contributing to a safe environment for healthy conflict and meaningful collaboration as well as foster a culture of continuous improvement.Key technical skills
Experience or strong willingness to learn a subset of the following:
- Programming in Java, using test libraries such as Selenium
- Working in Jenkins to build and deploy code
- Tracking issues in Jira
- Working on group software projects using GitHub
- Leveraging software testing methodologies and best practices
Education and experience
For your candidacy to be considered, you must be a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Computer Science program or related field. At least three (3) four-month work terms or 12 months experience working in a similar QA role.Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages – English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve second their language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.What you need to know

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,967 to $95,255 (job grade 15)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
