AS5200-24-123Are you methodical, analytical, with excellent communication skills? Then this is a great opportunity to join the University’s Academic Quality and Standards Team.Our team supports the development and implementation of academic regulations, the operation of two student-facing processes (additional consideration and academic appeals), the appointment and induction of External Examiners, and the development and review of key quality assurance policies and processes designed to support the student experience.You will work closely with colleagues in our academic schools and professional services to develop and implement the University’s academic regulations and assessment policies. Other key responsibilities of the role include acting as an officer to strategic university committees and working groups, developing and delivering workshops and training sessions, and managing a small team of staff.In order to be successful in this role you should have:
- The ability to develop, interpret and apply regulations, policies and processes
- Good communication skills including the ability to communicate complex information both verbally and in writing
- Proactive problem-solving skills to analyse and resolve complex issues
- Experience of undertaking work of an analytical nature
- The ability to review regulations, policies and processes using sound judgement and innovative thinking
A degree and/or substantial previous experience of relevant work within a large complex organisation is essential, as is sufficient expert knowledge of quality assurance to be able to offer advice and guidance to colleagues.The University operates an agile working policy which would extend to this role. This would mean you could possibly work up to 60% of your hours from home and 40% from the workplace – although flexibility will be required.
