The RoleOur engineering team is on the hunt for a meticulous and driven Quality Assurance Specialist to help us deliver top-notch software. In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive test plans, uncovering and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence.   • Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Utilize various testing methodologies and tools to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Document and track test results, providing detailed reports on findings.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, providing clear and concise descriptions.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Utilize defect tracking tools to maintain a comprehensive record of defects.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, customer success and customer support.
  • Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on enterprise SaaS applications.
  • Demonstrated experience of creating and conducting functional, regression, and functional testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
  • Experience with defect tracking and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The base salary for this role is: CA$86,000 – CA$116,000We believe in paying top-of-market base salaries to foster a high talent density, meaning we aim to attract and retain the very best people in our field.
