Your new role:To work as part of a team alongside colleagues within the Cemetery , all Council maintained Cemeteries including closed graveyards to complete all aspects of Grounds Maintenance to carry out all operational aspects of the Crematorium and Cemetery from the arrival of the funeral at the Cemetery to Burial and the commemoration in accordance with Council and service policies and quality standards and procedures, legal requirements, professional codes of practice and quality standards. This includes assisting the bereaved and funeral professionals. To lead and work alongside colleagues within the Cemetery, all Council maintained Cemeteries including closed graveyards to complete all aspects of Grounds Maintenance. What you’ll need to succeed:The post holder has responsibility to ensure all routine checks are carried out to any grave digging and grounds maintenance plant or equipment in accordance with manufactures instructions prior to operation and to ensure any faults are reported to managers. Good educational standard or able to demonstrate a comparable level of competence. Relevant professional qualification e.g. Safe working in cemeteries COTS, Excavator / digger qualification.
