Opportunity:The Cross Cancer Institute, in conjunction with the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, is recruiting a Radiologist with a keen interest in oncologic imaging, as well as strong cross-sectional and procedural skills to join the current group of 17 radiologists. The ideal candidates will have completed a dedicated body imaging fellowship or equivalent, with multimodality experience involving image guided procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who have had practical work experience in body imaging. Tertiary level care is provided in Edmonton and Calgary, and there are regional cancer centres with radiotherapy services in Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Grande Prairie.Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) is a freestanding integrated cancer treatment and research facility that functions as the tertiary oncology referral centre for Northern Alberta. CCI is a leader in innovative cancer research, prevention, treatment and care initiatives. It has a strong record of basic and translational research as well as clinical trial activity in Oncology. Some familiarity with early drug development/ph 1 would be an asset, as would training and experience with cell therapy (BMT and CarT). The ability to work with our translational science team would be an advantage. This cancer centre sees both in- and out-patients, currently treating over 21,000 patients in one year.Salary Details:Compensation will be commensurate with the level of training and experience and will comply with the agreement between Cancer Care Alberta, AHS and the Alberta Medical Association. The annual compensation will be calculated in accordance with the Cancer Care Alberta Physician compensation grid for Radiation Oncologists ranging from $322,857.00 (£180,602.00 GBP) (level 1) to $464,743.00 (£259,970.00 GBP) (level 4). Grid placement will be based on qualifications, training, and experience. Annual Compensation is based on the contracted 210 Service days.How CCA supports you…CCA provides a recruitment support that includes the following conditional on leadership approval: * Relocation Support: up to $10,000 for recruits within North America and up to $15,000 for recruits outside North America.

Qualifications:Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. FRCPC status is preferred.The Cross Cancer Institute serves as the comprehensive cancer treatment and research facility for Edmonton and all of Northern Alberta. The position is predominantly clinical but will include academic / teaching / administration components.
