Offer DescriptionReader Grade 9 (£57,696 – £64,914) or Professor Grade 10 (£66, 857 minimum per annum)Do you have a passion for transforming lives through education and research in a growing School of Health Sciences?The roleWe are seeking exceptional candidates to enhance research and education excellence in the School of Health Sciences, to strengthen our academic leadership capacity and oversee the development of research programmes within the School.Candidates will have an international reputation for excellent and impactful research, underpinned by substantial successful external grant funding as Principal Investigator, and evidence of world leading (4* REF) research publications.The ideal candidate will undertake excellent research aligned with the School’s primary research themes: Understanding health, Innovation in health and/or Improving health service delivery.Current research is organised in five groups: healthy active ageing; improvement and implementation research; long term conditions; substance use; and mother, infant and child health research. Our research groups work collaboratively within and across complementary topic or methodological areas.The post includes teaching and research contributions, dependent on existing grant funding and the needs of the School. We welcome applications from people who meet the essential criteria and we are keen to attract applicants with applied health sciences research expertise and experience.Key components of the role include:
- Collaborative research including leading large funding proposals, undertaking research and producing high quality publications
- Attracting and supervising postgraduate students
- Excellence in education and the student experience
