The opportunity

Canadian Western Bank (CWB) Financial Group is seeking a Business Coordinator for our Real Estate team to provide and lead crucial sales support and operational services. The role is accountable to ensure customer service excellence through proactive and execution of administrative tasks and processes required to facilitate effective sales, loan management, underwriting, adjudication, and regulatory compliance and credit support functions.

What a typical day includes

Supporting achievement of team objectives through effective and efficient completion of business line administrative tasks

Ensuring completion of all funding conditions, coordinating with clients and colleagues, including AML/KYC and pre-sale requirements.

Working collaboratively to ensure speed and accuracy in the delivery of all client services and communications

Fostering strong working relationships to help deliver beneficial services in line with CWB’s brand promise

Exercising discretion and respect the confidentiality of all customer and vendor transactions

Organizing, prioritizing and managing requests sourced from Real Estate sales teams, including set-ups of client profiles on applicable CWB systems

Assist with effective communication and coordination of documentation and funding processes

Utilizing our queue management system to support accurate completion of lending requests, documentation requests, loan fundings, payouts, etc. in consultation with lenders

Reviewing and preparing Loan Commitment Letters, Amendment Letters, and Renewal Letters in support of the Lending Team

Communicating with external consultants, solicitors, syndicated partners regarding funding requirements and reporting covenants

Acting as the primary client contact for: general inquiries, funding conditions, loan support, ensure appropriate information and documentation is obtained to ensure timely funding of loan commitments.

Preparing, distributing, and completing various business management and performance reports (out of order report, credit decision report and credit review date report) while ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are implemented to address customer concerns and identified issues

Foundational knowledge to grow from

Experience with basic financial knowledge, coupled with a Business Administration diploma. Financial services or banking experience is preferred. Experience with basic financial statement analysis would be beneficial.

Skills that will take you further

Technology savvy. Ability to learn and understand in-house software programs is key to your success on top of your outstanding knowledge & application of MS Office products. Experience with banking and loan origination systems is considered an asset.

Process driven & procedure oriented. Capability to achieve an in-depth understanding of CWB processes and policy required for effective loan maintenance, funding and risk management.

Professionalism. Live CWB values in a manner consistent with our brand. Build integrity, respect & trust in all relationships while demonstrating a calm confidence in all situations.

Tight-knit collaboration skills with ability to provide effective support for the business units

Excellent verbal, written, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
