Academics are proud to offer an opportunity with an Early Years department graded ‘Outstanding’ in 2023, who currently looking for a Reception Teacher to join their fantastic close knit team in this dynamic, inclusive and supportive Primary School in Luton!

The school community totals 840 pupils and approximately 150 staff. Whilst this may seem big, the school is always calm, personal, purposeful and happy … A big school with small community habits, priding themselves on everyone’s well-being being a cornerstone of their ethos!

Situated in a historic and culturally diverse area of Luton, very close to the town centre. Many children in the school are bilingual, speaking over 50 languages between them!

The Opportunity: Reception Teacher

Start Date: April 2024

Location: Luton

Contract Type: Full-Time preferred but will consider Part-Time (3 Days a week minimum)

Contract Duration: Long Term / Permanent

Responsibilities for the Reception Teacher:

Planning, marking, assessment etc. staff training on a Tuesday after school and team meetings Wednesday after school. You will also have the support of an assigned TA in the classroom.

About the Early Years team:

4 form entry so the Reception teacher will be part of a large and experienced Early Years, led by an excellent Team Leader.
Early years have a strong team of around 9 members of staff, the most recent addition has been there 4 years, retention is huge across the school with a number of staff that have been in the school 20yrs or more!

*A QTS is required for this role, as well as an enhanced DBS (Academics can assist you with this).
