Please be aware that this role is based at the Cranbrook campusWe are seeking to appoint a reliable and confident Receptionist to join our team from January 2025. Our successful candidate will be pivotal to the smooth running of the school office – you’ll be the first point of contact for many members of the academy and external stakeholders, and will be able to turn your hand to any admin-related task that is required. Applicants should be professional, personable and committed to providing an excellent service on behalf of Snowfields Academy, and above all else our appointed candidate will have a positive work ethic and can-do attitude. Applicants should also be highly confident in many aspects of IT, and will be expected to utilise the Google Suite of tools for most aspects of their work.Our successful candidate will be able to:

  • Maintain a good general knowledge of the Academy systems in order to carry out duties effectively and successfully;
  • Manage and organise work of a confidential and complex nature, with considerable tact, diplomacy and a high level of commitment, customer care and flexibility;
  • Actively promote our shared visions and values;
  • Prioritise and manage a varied and complex workload;
  • Ensure equal access and opportunities for both students and staff within the academy.

This is a permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset with an actual salary of £20,622 per annum (£23,656 full time equivalent). Enjoy a varied role that keeps you engaged, valued, and an integral part of our team.Working with us at Snowfields Academy: Snowfields Academy opened in September 2020 as a new secondary provision for students with ASD. When full we will offer 140 places across year groups 7-13 for young people who are working at or close to age-related expectations. Class sizes are small with 12/13 in each class, supported by 2-3 teaching assistants according to need. We offer a range of GCSEs and other qualifications for young people on a blend of academic and vocational pathways.The academy benefits from being a brand new school with a design tailored to the students it provides for, carefully considered to make the most of both its inside and outside environments in order to enhance the learning of its students. The environment supports specialisms in horticulture and catering with a purpose-designed teaching kitchen, servery and cafe, and internal and external horticulture facilities supporting our students into employment. We will work closely with local businesses to offer an outstanding range of work experience opportunities and supported internships.At Snowfields Academy we:

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff.
