OVERVIEW – FULL-TIME or PART-TIME JOB!

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred
  • 2 years of prior experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a service industry in Canada is a major asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION (point form)

  • LOTS of CSR type client facing work
  • Overseeing growth and transitions
  • Managing schedules
  • Helping with hiring process
  • Answering calls from new and existing families
  • Supporting the teachers
  • Replying to emails
  • Basic graphic design (as a bonus)
  • Music lesson sales
  • Administrative support at events, functions, etc.
  • General organization of the Academy
  • The position is adaptive and changes with time

AVAILABILITY

  • The job hours are Monday to Friday 12pm-8:30pm (plus occasional later shifts and/or weekend shifts in place of weekday shifts)
  • YOUR COVER LETTER MUST INDICATE THAT YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR THESE “UNUSUAL” HOURS and whether you prefer part-time or full-time

FINE PRINT

  • The Receptionist must be detail-oriented. As a result, ONLY applications with a cover letter will be considered. All other applications will be discarded. The cover letter should explain why you’d enjoy specifically working at a music academy for children. Please indicate any experience you have with children including camps, daycare, babysitting, etc., as well as any musical experience you may have. Please note professional music experience is not required. You must also indicate that you are aware of the hours of the job as requested and listed above.

Pay is dependent on applicant’s experience and education with room to grow.Orrett Music Academy is a high-end professional academy in the heart of Etobicoke (5m walk from Royal York Station and free parking)‎. Our Oakville location is close to Dorval and QEW with ample free parking.
