Role OverviewIn a Nutshell…We have a fantastic opportunity for a Recruitment Business Partner to join our team within Vistry Services, covering our Business Units in the Midlands and North of England. As our Recruitment Business Partner, you will assist with all recruitment processes, systems, and projects across the group to maximise and continuously improve the level of direct sourcing. The Recruitment Business Partner will work closely with the wider People team and senior business stakeholders to provide a first-class recruitment service across Vistry Group. You will assist hiring managers across your designated regions to efficiently recruit for their roles, offering support through the full recruitment lifecycle, from inception through to offer. The Recruitment Business Partner will also hold responsibility for key strategic recruitment initiatives, including market mapping, direct headhunting and resource planning for upcoming projects within the business. Your focus will be to achieve KPI’s set for your designated regions including (but not limited to), direct vs agency percentages, savings generated in direct recruitment and time to hire. You will report monthly on your region’s success and report on metrics such as Diversity and Inclusion. The Recruitment Business Partner will be required to attend regular networking and careers events, to promote Vistry as an employer of choice.Let’s cut to the chase, what’s in it for you…

  • Ability to source through proven methods using various technology
  • Experience managing high volume vacancies from job creation to offer
  • Experience conducting extensive internet mining and utilise social networking tactics to provide the best qualified candidates
  • Experience in resource planning – including forecasting of vacancies with wider business to anticipate recruitment needs
  • Has knowledge of Employee Selection Procedures and techniques
  • Has experience developing recruiting strategies, managing projects and reporting various recruiting metrics
  • Knowledge of employment law, GDPR and IR35
  • High competence with Microsoft office including proficiency with Excel
  • Must be a self-starter and be able work with a level of autonomy
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decisions at senior levels
  • Resilience when dealing with difficult situations
  • Must be willing to work in excess of normal working hours when urgent matters arise or deadlines need to be met
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK (including some overnight stays)

Desirable –

  • CIPD Level 3
  • CertIHR
  • CertRP
  • Experience in other HR specialisations to include offer processes and onboarding
  • Experience within the residential / construction industry

More about the Recruitment Business Partner role…

  • Support with the continuous improvement and maintenance of the ATS, ensuring effective engagement across the group.
  • Regular liaison with hiring managers across the Group in relation to roles that have been approved via the Applicant Tracking System – identify all key information and ensure this is passed on to the wider Recruitment team to include for advertising purposes.
  • Regular reviews with your region’s directors, reviewing the success of recruitment campaigns, identifying areas for team improvement and critical requirements.
  • Work with your designated regions for forecasting recruitment requirements. Working through upcoming projects, current staffing levels and where extra resource will be required to ensure an appropriate recruitment plan is in place.
  • Direct headhunting across your regions.
  • Creation of market mapping tools and talent pools to aid the time to hire across Vistry.
  • Support the Head of Recruitment with wider strategic Recruitment projects across the group.
  • Work closely with the People Business partners to monitor staff retention, trend analysis and strategy on how to improve retention rates.
  • Liaise with the People Business Partners in relation to succession planning for senior vacancies.
  • Provide support and mentoring to the wider Recruitment team.
  • Be available as a professional point of recruitment support and advice for all hiring managers across Group.
  • Act as a point of contact for external agencies on our PSL when roles are released to them.
  • Help support with the review of the Agency PSL on a bi/annual basis.
  • Use the Applicant Tracking System to monitor direct candidates and CV screen, ensuring all suitable candidates are forwarded using the system to the hiring manager.
  • Explore and organise wider talent events to attract volume candidates, ie; careers events, networking, open days with a focus on ‘out of industry’ (ex-military, early careers)
  • Support and roll out all recruitment communications and messages across your designated regions, and on occasions to the wider Group, via email and on the internal communication platform.
  • Develop creative ideas and strategies to promote Vistry Group in the community and actively promote the Vistry Group brand throughout the recruitment process.
  • To support with Vistry Group wide projects when required, i.e.; applicant tracking system, design and development of the careers website.
  • Creating reports for Recruitment activities including Time to hire, cost per hire, candidate experience using the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Develop and maintain personal expertise and network in the broader HR community to stay abreast of best practice and bring leading edge HR thinking.
  • Work alongside the People Development Business Partners and Head of Recruitment to create and deliver recruitment best practice training and coaching to the Group hiring manager community.
