What is the opportunity?

This role is a dedicated Financial Planning Professional to support retail financial planning professionals, primarily in the Southwest Ontario Region.

The P&CB Financial Planning Centre of Expertise enables our Financial Planning Professionals to help our clients achieve their life goals by delivering an outstanding financial planning experience with a high degree of confidence and capability. As an integral member of the Mutual Funds Distribution and RBC Financial Planning Team, this position will focus on supporting our retail financial planners in achieving success in the areas of the Right Skills and Capabilities and the Right Advice, leading to the Right Results. The candidate will provide expertise in the financial planning engagement through the support of your Your Future by Design® Advice Experience articulating the FP Value Proposition, conducting Life and Financial Discovery and presenting Strategies, leveraging our financial planning tools and a primary support to building advice capability against the 8 Financial Planning Disciplines.

The successful candidate will support the Southwest Ontario Region.

What will you do?

Coach and mentor Financial Planners on all aspect of the financial planning process (Your Future By Design® Advice Experience)

Be a Subject Matter Expert for sound guidance on broad range of technical tax, estate, financial planning ideas and strategies

Effectively communicate expert knowledge around issues affecting Mass Affluent individuals and business owners such a transitioning into retirement, investing through holding companies, sale of a business, wealth transfer etc.

Facilitate skill building workshops with Financial Planners on financial planning topics; Marketing and promotion of planning tools to Financial Planners

Collaborate with other in-market support roles for driving the development and implementation of sales enablement, sales strategy and sales communications

Contribute to special projects such as leading development of training and financial planning tools and/or supporting financial planning strategy and other partners across the organization

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

CFP, QAFP or PFP required (CFP preferred)
