Job Description:Up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RNSummaryThe NICU Unit Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of specialized nursing care for newborn infants experiencing acute or potentially acute illness or injury in single or multiple body systems. The Registered Nurse participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.Responsibilities:The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state registration or eligibility to do so
- CPR required of all RN’s
- All RN’s should obtain NRP within 12 months of employment
