Our client school in Portsmouth have a position available for a Religious Studies teacher to join them on a full time basis for a year. You’ll be working as part of a large Humanities team, who work well together to ensure that pupils are challenged and pushed to reach their potential.For this role you must:Hold QTSBe compliant with behaviour management strategiesBe able to commit to a temporary contractHave a full DBS checkSupply Teacher Contract/Position DetailsLocation – PortsmouthPosition – Religious Studies TeacherType of work – Class teaching, marking, assessment where applicableStart date – ImmediateLikely Duration – 1 yearPosition end date – TBCContract type – TemporaryFull-time potentialMinimum rate of pay – £145 Per dayHours – 8:20am-4pm (term time only)Supply Teacher Experience, Training and QualificationsIt is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a Secondary school.You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply cover role, or on teaching placement if you are an NQT.Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must;Hold the Right to Work in the UK.Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)Provide two professional child related references.If you are a Religious Studies Teacher and would like to be considered for this teaching job, please apply below or call us on 0127 069045.Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
