Rental Vehicle with Driver

Position: Driver with Rental Toyota Pickup (Service Contract)
Monthly Payment: USD 1,300 paid by Dorcas
Duty Station: Dohuk with travel across Iraq (including Sinjar, Mosul, Ninewa, Erbil)
Working Days: Sunday–Thursday, with possible weekend/after‑hours work when required

 

Service Overview

Dorcas is seeking a qualified driver who can provide a Toyota pickup truck (model year 2024 or newer) in good mechanical and physical condition, together with driving services. The driver must have prior experience working with NGOs and hold a valid Public Driving License.

Payment Terms

1. Dorcas will pay USD 1,300 per month for the availability and use of the vehicle and the driver. Payment is made at the end of each calendar month.
2. The monthly amount of USD 1,300 is all‑inclusive, covering:
   • Fuel
   • Insurance
   • Driver’s costs
   • Repairs & maintenance
     Dorcas will not pay any additional charges such as speed tickets.
   • The driver/owner is responsible for all fuel, repair, and maintenance costs.
   • Fuel must always be kept above 50%.

Scope of Use

3. The vehicle will be used by Dorcas for travel anywhere in Iraq, including Dohuk, Mosul, the Ninewa region, Sinjar, and Erbil.

4. The vehicle must be available Sunday–Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the driver.

   • If needed, the vehicle and driver must be available after hours and on weekends.
   • Extra working hours may be compensated with time off during following weeks.
   • The Administrative & Logistics Assistant of Dorcas Sinuni Office will coordinate the schedule and address all logistical and operational matters with the driver.

Contractual & Operational Conditions

5. The contract will be immediately cancelled if there is any change in the agreed vehicle or driver.

6. A vehicle logbook must be kept in the vehicle and completed before and after every trip.

   • A Dorcas staff member using the vehicle must sign the log for that trip.
   • The logbook must be submitted at the end of each month before payment is made.

7. If the vehicle becomes unavailable for any reason, the owner must provide a replacement vehicle at their own cost, subject to prior communication and approval from Dorcas.

   • If Dorcas provides the replacement vehicle, all associated costs will be covered by the vehicle owner, not Dorcas.

8. The driver will also support Dorcas teams with:

   • Loading and offloading
   • Maintaining order during distributions
   • Assisting in focus group discussions
   • Any additional tasks requested by the team

9. The driver must comply with:

   • Iraqi Road Traffic Regulations
   • Dorcas’ safety and security guidelines

10. The driver must sign and comply with the Dorcas Code of Conduct, which forms an integral part of the contract.

11. By signing the contract, the driver confirms that the provided vehicle is owned by him or under his full legal responsibility.

• Dorcas is not liable for any damages, expenses, or legal issues arising from the vehicle’s use.
