As a Repairs Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the management of the process for repair of all items within the Scope of the contract. This is business critical to ensure the continuation of service provision.Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate across departments and business units to ensure delivery of a full end to end service and reporting, as well as:
- Provide a key input to future business proposals for spares and repairs, utilising statistical analysis and experience of schedule, price and quality variables on previous and ongoing projects
- Manage and maintain repair stock of consumable and piece parts to maximize performance and reduce lead time delays on all repairs. Produce business cases as required for project to enable authorization of advance stock acquisition to support contracted turnaround targets.
- Identify trends and single points of failure and make recommendations and (where applicable) implement potential improvements and optimisations which could be implemented to the Spares and Repairs Service
- Introduce consistent reporting metrics, for use externally through Infrastructure, and making full use of company Asset Management tools to track all activity across the project and report to a standard set of Key Performance indicators
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.Essential experience of the Repairs Manager:
- Experience of supporting complex systems and equipment.
- Experience of Dealing with Customers and suppliers
- Good knowledge of supply chain processes.
- A working knowledge and understanding of product lifecycles and repair processes
Qualifications for the Repairs Manager:
- Minimum GCSE Level 4 in Maths and English
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Role
