We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reporting Specialist to support a monitoring project focused on Iraq’s National Action Plan (NAP). The specialist will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting data related to the NAP’s implementation, tracking progress, identifying challenges, and ensuring that all activities align with the strategic goals set by the government and international partners. The role requires close collaboration with field teams, data analysts, and project managers to produce high-quality reports for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Report Preparation and Analysis:
- Develop, write, and format periodic reports on the progress of NAP implementation, focusing on specific goals, outcomes, and deliverables.
- Ensure reports are clear, concise, and align with project objectives and donor requirements.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis, trends, and findings from the monitoring project.

Data Collection and Monitoring:
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure the timely collection of data on NAP activities and outcomes.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in reporting.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide analysis on project performance.

Stakeholder Communication:
- Support communication with governmental stakeholders, international partners, and donors to share progress reports, insights, and updates.
- Maintain a transparent and professional reporting structure to ensure stakeholders are kept informed.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation of reports, monitoring tools, and other related project materials.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards when managing sensitive project information.

Capacity Building and Support:
- Provide training or guidance to staff in the field on data collection methods and reporting procedures.
- Assist in identifying areas for improving the reporting process to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting within international development or government projects, preferably related to national action plans or similar policy frameworks.
- Skills:
- Strong report writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with the NAP process and related sectors (e.g., governance, human rights, security) in Iraq is a plus.
- Understanding of monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
- Knowledge of donor and government reporting requirements.

- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying challenges and suggesting practical solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and navigate sensitive political contexts.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience working in conflict or post-conflict settings, particularly in Iraq.
- Knowledge of Iraq’s governance structures, national action plans, or related frameworks.
- Fluent in Arabic and English; additional languages are an advantage.
