Job Description:

Recovinyl, a leading organization in the recycling and sustainability sector, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research and Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Research and Data Analyst at Recovinyl, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to support our organization’s research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the PVC recycling industry.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect, clean, and organize data related to PVC recycling from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of quantitative and qualitative data using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and other relevant approaches.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in the data to derive meaningful insights and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data collection processes align with research objectives in the PVC recycling industry.

Research Design and Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of research projects, including designing research methodologies, data collection instruments, and sampling strategies specifically focused on PVC recycling.
  • Identify key research questions and hypotheses to guide the research process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in research and data analysis related to recycling and sustainability, and propose innovative approaches to enhance research methodologies.

Report Generation and Presentation:

  • Prepare clear and concise reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings for internal stakeholders, management, and external partners.
  • Communicate research results effectively, both orally and in writing, to convey complex information in a comprehensible manner.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights based on research findings in the PVC recycling industry.

Data Visualization:

  • Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to effectively communicate research findings related to PVC recycling.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex data sets in a user-friendly and accessible format.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of research data and analysis through rigorous quality assurance procedures.
  • Conduct data validation and perform error checks to maintain data integrity, specifically focusing on PVC recycling data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, economics, environmental science, sustainability, or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience in research design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights in the context of PVC recycling.
  • Proficient in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality, particularly in the field of recycling and sustainability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with recycling and sustainability concepts, and experience in the PVC industry or recycling sector is a plus.

1 to 3 years’ experience preferred.
