The Research Assistant 1 assists the research team in conducting research projects and as required, is responsible for the functional supervision of the Undergraduate/Graduate students and visiting international students.

Research assistant assisting in the performance of behavioral and electrophysiological experiments with psychedelics.

Position Summary:

(i.) Under the supervision of the Research Supervisor conducts research projects using established protocols, processes and procedures in behavioral pharmacology, electrophysiology and EEG .

(ii.) Executes  data collection and statistical analysis , planning and preparation of research documentation, laboratory work, and compilation of data.

(iii.) Implements recommended improvements to existing methods of analysis or research.

(iv.) Analyzes and interprets research data and disseminates the results.

 (v.) Responsible for the quality and results of their own work.

(vi.)  Provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including Undergraduate/Graduate Student and international students.

(vii.) Performs various administrative tasks related to the project. 

Qualifications:

— Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through a bachelor’s degree. — Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to the research project or academic research experience may be deemed equivalent.
