Professor Rosa’s lab is hiring a full-time Research Assistant 2. This research based at Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (The Neuro; McGill University) aims to validate tests (biomarkers) to identify the presence of age-related diseases (i.e., Alzheimer’s disease) before the symptom onset.  The lead Psychometrician is responsible for the collection of cognitive data in the TRIAD cohort throughout its various projects.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Administering full cognitive assessment batteries for all TRIAD participants including the following tests:
    • Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE)           
    • Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR)
    • Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)          
    • Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT)   
    • Aggie Figure test          
    • Face-Name association test       
    • Logical memory (immediate and delayed recall)
    • Emotional Memory Test           
    • Digit span (WAIS-III; forward and backward)   
    • Boston Naming Test
    • Semantic verbal fluency
    • IQ (WASI-II; matrix reasoning, vocabulary)      
    • Digit symbol (WAIS-III)
    • Stroop test (D-KEFS)   
    • Trail making    
    • BORB – object decision test     
    • BORB – line orientation
    • Rey Osterrieth Complex Figure test (copy)
  • Scoring all above-mentioned tests
  • Preparing all study documents and materials needed to conduct the assessment
  • Contacting participants to schedule and confirm their appointments
  • Updating and filing all participant charts (physical and electronic) on a daily basis
  • Updating all tests onto an electronic database (single and double data entry)
  • Completing the Clinical Dementia Rating with the participant and their study partner for each timepoint
  • Scoring the Clinical Dementia Rating
  • Complete assessment work up for every participant and assist in clinical meetings where a clinical consensus is met for each patient
  • Mentor, assist and train assistant psychometrician and oversee their daily tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Administering scoring and validating novel tests developed by international collaborators
  • Work with excel, create spreadsheets, filecabinet (in house program)
