SCI92625We are seeking to fill an open position for a research fellow/associate within the nanoscience group, based in the School of Physics and Astronomy, at the University of Nottingham.We are looking for an experimental leader with experience and expertise in ultra-high vacuum scanning probe techniques to lead and participate in a wide variety of research projects ranging from atomic scale electronic and magnetic impurities in solids to the development of novel two-dimensional material systems. This position will include independent leadership of scientific projects and include the mentorship of younger Ph.D. students within the nanoscience group.Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or other related field, or be near to completion.As part of our commitment to improving equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school, shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to talk to a member of staff representing women, racially minoritized people, LGBTQIA+, or disabilities communities.
