Project Title: Beginning Early: SingaPore’s Ongoing Study starting in Infancy of Twenty-first-century-skills, Individual differences, and Variance in the Environment (BE POSITIVE study)

Project Introduction: The Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD) at National Institute of Education (NIE) is looking for a Research Fellow to assist with the BE POSITIVE study.

Beginning Early: SingaPore’s Ongoing Study starting in Infancy of Twenty-first-century-skills, Individual differences, and Variance in the Environment (BE POSITIVE study) is a collaboration with Singhealth Polyclinics and involves more than 14 research scientists and clinicians. As such, the Research Fellow will have the opportunity to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds, and will also work closely with the overall study PI.  BE POSITIVE’s primary goal is to better examine the interaction between home and school influences upon child development and academic success, starting in ages 0-4. Data sources will include computerized testing, questionnaires, and video/audio data.

Requirements

We are looking for an organized and passionate postdoctoral fellow to support project management. The Research Fellow will have opportunities for data analysis and writing. 

•           Academic qualification: PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work, Nursing, or related field 

•           Ability to communicate, read, and write in English

•           Work experience: Past experience with project management is a plus

•           Desirable interests, skills, and attributes: 

•           Interest in cognitive and developmental outcomes and parent-child interactions  

•           Detail oriented, ability to work in a team, organized. 

Responsibilities

Assist PI with project management (e.g., staff management, budgeting, interim reporting, purchasing, IRB development, documentation), ensure communication between team members, contribute to development of the project where needed, as well as tracking the recruitment and outcomes. There will also be opportunities for analysis and writing.
