For more information please visit:The Centres of Excellent in Regulatory Science and Innovations -CERSIs- have been (MHRA, MRC, Innovate UK and Office for life Sciences) in 2025 to “play a vital role in shaping the future of regulatory science in the UK, driving safer, faster and more innovative healthcare solutions”.The post is part of the Brunel-led CERSI for Empowering transformative Digital Health and Healthcare AI -RADIANT, a consortium of 9 partners with an ambitious plan to deliver a valuable programme of activities for six groups of stakeholders: innovators, regulators, academic community, supporting services to digital health tech, clinicians and patients.In particular, the postholder will develop and apply knowledge of healthcare AI to identify, analyse, categorise, and resolve regulatory science challenges generated by the intrinsic nature of the technology and its application in health, lead on the comparison and harmonisation of standards and regulations on digital health, support RADIANT members, innovators, and RADIANT test bed projects; facilitate the dialogue between digital health stakeholders (clinicians, innovators, patients, regulators, researchers etc), and inclusively capture user requirement for safe, effective, and intuitive digital health solutions.A PhD in an appropriate discipline (for example, AI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Regulatory Science or related Fields).The post is available for 11 months, with the possibility of extension.For more information, please contact Dr Gabriella Spinelli onWe offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support.
