An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver efficient and effective grant management and research support. Leading the Research Services team, the post holder will work closely with other professional services colleagues (Finance, HR and Legal) across Kew to support researchers in identifying, securing, and managing external grant income. This will include acting as the key point of contact for all pre- and post-award enquiries, advising on eligibility, funder regulations and timescales, ensuring grant applications are appropriately costed, managing internal approval processes, grant submissions, and post-award grant set-up and reporting.We are seeking experienced candidates with knowledge of the research funding landscape and regulations to support Kew researchers with all aspects of the grant lifecycle to ensure those doing science can focus on research.Leading a small team, you’ll continually improve our grant management service to Kew’s 120+ active researchers, enabling them to identify, develop and deliver winning grant applications, and provide appropriate post-award support. You’ll also oversee our new Grant Management System, Worktribe, working to effectively develop and communicate internal processes to ensure a seamless management of grant applications and awards.You should love building an effective team, working in a fast-paced environment and relish the opportunity to work with colleagues from right across the business to develop and deliver a high-quality service.This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
