Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?
RBC is recruiting for an exciting Research Manager role in which you will have the opportunity to increase shareholder value through increased understanding of the needs of consumers, clients, communities and employees and RBC’s performance. Using cost effective research methodologies you will research studies for RBC enterprise ensuring that the business units are provided with timely, actionable, high quality client insights to support their decision making process. In this role you will Interpret and integrate client and market research findings and proactively share the insights across the enterprise to develop differentiating strategies and solutions that supports revenue growth.What will you do?Consult with business units to effectively understand and define their business needs, translate the business needs into research needs and propose most appropriate recommendations.Be responsible for the project management from initiation through field work to reporting, and consulting on client insights throughout the process.Leverage existing knowledge from the research team and the enterprise to uncover better insights by bringing in multiple information sources.Participate in cross-functional teams to signal market trends, identify business opportunities & emerging market segments, and relevant positioning, value proposition and potential product development/ enhancements.Adopt the most cost-effective ways of addressing the research needsTest and learn new and enhanced methodology including new measurement metrics to achieve the highest standard in research excellenceThe Manager will continuously appraise studies proposed by various Financial Services Industry organizations (i.e, Council on Financial Competition, marketing/research companies etc.) and review relevant secondary data sources, in the context of Business units short- and long-term business goals.What do you need to succeed?3-5 experience in marketing research on the supplier/vendor sidePractical Experience with SPSS and/or Q Research Software, and Excel a must haveSuperior knowledge on a wide range of research techniques covering both qualitative and quantitative areasDemonstrated collaborative skills in a cross-functional and information sharing environment and strong project management skillsSuperior ability to translate complex research data into precise and simple information for business partnersAbility to function in a fast pace environment with the ability to quickly pivotWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
