Job Description:General Job DescriptionIES Residential, one of the nations largest electrical subcontractors, is seeking Residential Electricians to join our Destin,FL team.The Residential Electrician plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. A successful candidate will engage in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in multi-family homes.

  • Complete house rough in to include measuring, cutting, and pulling wire
  • Install plugs, lights, and other fixtures
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met
  • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring consistent with specification and local electrical codes
  • Maintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and procedures
  • Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
  • Communicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understood

Minimum EducationHigh School

Specific Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of residential new construction experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirements
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, and work on ladders and scaffolds
