Job Description:General Job DescriptionIES Residential, one of the nations largest electrical subcontractors, is seeking Residential Electricians to join our Destin,FL team.The Residential Electrician plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. A successful candidate will engage in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in multi-family homes.
- Complete house rough in to include measuring, cutting, and pulling wire
- Install plugs, lights, and other fixtures
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring consistent with specification and local electrical codes
- Maintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and procedures
- Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
- Communicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understood
Minimum EducationHigh School
Minimum Years of Experience2-4
Specific Qualifications
- 2-4 years of residential new construction experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirements
- Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, and work on ladders and scaffolds
