Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Resolution Officer for the Accounts Receivable / Journal Entry as a Service Team you will be part of a dynamic and fast paced group covering a range of process from basic journals to more complex entries, time sensitive entries in a variety of process applications. You will be responsible for accurate, timely and complete processing of accounts receivable transactions from invoice creation and posting to monitoring and clearing payments. You will be the first point of contact for investigations and inquiries and throughout it all you will be coordinating with team members and business partners to ensure smooth processing.During the first week of every month, evening shifts are required.What will you do?Accounts Receivable
- You will be responsible for creating invoices based on business partner requests, raising receivables in the General Ledger, monitoring, and clearing payments for receivables for UK, Channel Islands, the European Continent and North America.
- Tracking reporting and escalating aging items the AR business partners and management.
Journal Entry as a Service
- You will be responsible for processing of Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly Entry of Journals Via PeopleSoft and Excel, varying in complexity from basic to mid-level.
- Adhering to strict upload window restrictions for time sensitive postings.
- Working in a variety of upload and processing applications.
Other Duties:
- Training and coaching of new team members.
- Support onboarding of new processes as required through knowledge sharing and process testing.
- Handling inquiries and investigating escalations for resolution or escalation to manager
- Proposes process improvement recommendations to partners and / or management to improve process efficiency, governance, controls, or other key objectives.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- 2 years of operations experience in a financial sector environment or equivalent education
- Knowledge in accounts receivable/ payable
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and ability to prioritize activities to ensure timelines are met
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, intermediate to advanced excel, RIMMs, Access Dimensions, SOX, Enterprise General Ledger (GL) Attestation policy, and Accounting policy
- Some knowledge of all Regulatory and Compliance rules, Internal Audit reviews
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC UK Financial Systems
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma (LSS) or process improvement
- University or college degree in accounting, finance, business preferred
