At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.Role:
Reporting to Country Manager – Marine (UK), the role holder contributes to support the Marine team to achieve sales target according to EU strategies.The main responsibility for this role is to achieve Honda’s agreed Marine commercial objectives through effective management and motivation of our dealer network partners.These include unit sales, parts sales, customer satisfaction levels and the implementation of a variety of dealer support programmes.The role requires extensive travel within your given market(s) with frequent overnight stays.Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets through specific action plans agreed with each dealership and by planning and implementing countermeasures where required.
  • Work with the Dealer Network to improve Honda Marine’s Market Share in your market(s).
  • Work with the Dealer Network to monitor their financial situation and control payments.
  • Where necessary, help dealers to plan their marketing and sales activity, by coaching, training, ensuring that they maintain a representative range of Honda stock.
  • Accurately forecasting monthly sales by area and by product level.
  • Check product competitiveness within your market(s) and update the Country Manager when required.
  • Continuously develop and implement countermeasures with the wider Marine Team to improve Honda product competitiveness in the local market(s).
  • Supports dealers in Sales Promotion activities.
  • Develop Branded Dealer Network following EU VI.
  • Manage and motivate our franchised dealer staff to consistently provide Honda customers with excellent customer service and to drive continual improvement through targeted dealer actions.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of boat configuration/rigging as well as knowledge of competitor activity.
  • Customer and Results driven.
  • Able to identify problems and apply countermeasures where necessary.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively within internal and external stakeholders.
  • Microsoft office suite skills, in-particular Excel.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing sales growth.
  • Capability to challenge and negotiate at a Dealer Principal level.

Desirable

  • Deep knowledge of European Boat Market.
  • Experience in an international business.
