We are excited to partner with a reputable educational services client in San Antonio, TX, to hire a School Psychologist for a 20-week contract. This position offers competitive weekly compensation of up to $68/hr, based on experience, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school community.Job Description:
As a School Psychologist, you will work with students, parents, and educators to address a wide range of psychological, behavioral, and academic challenges. You will be responsible for assessing students’ mental health, providing counseling, and developing strategies to improve learning and emotional well-being. This role involves close collaboration with other professionals in the school setting, as well as supporting students’ overall development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop strategies to support students’ academic and behavioral success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and 504 meetings
  • Offer crisis intervention and support for students in acute emotional distress
  • Help create a positive and supportive school environment for all students
  • Provide professional development and guidance to teachers on student mental health and behavioral issues
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Current Texas State Certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and strategies for student evaluation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with crisis intervention and behavior management

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Weekly compensation up to $68/hr, depending on experience
