  • Provide support to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and strategies
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Help students with their learning and social development
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children with SEN
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies

Education:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desired)

Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of SEN principles and practises
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN specific qualification (e.g., SEN Diploma)

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
