MAIN PURPOSE: (What is the function of the position?)To implement security audit and physical security measures and procedures throughout every stage of the production process. Carry out internal audits reviewing the effectiveness of the security procedures in relation to the customer’s requirements. Includes a high degree of interaction with other department’s operations. The duties of an internal auditor can be varied and will include planning, organising and carrying out audits and submitting written reports.KEY ACTIVITIES: (What gets done)To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviours, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Follow guidelines for security audit throughout the entire production process
- Implementation of prescribed security procedures and practices, including the effective integration with the manufacturing processes for all operations on site
- Assist in the monitoring and policing of security processes and advising production staff of the correct security procedures for the ISO 14298
- Reporting any breaches of security to the Site Security, HSE & Risk Manager
- Collaborate with other departments and forge a close working relationship with all process leaders and staff to ensure highest security levels in production
- Ensure accurate, robust and clear security audit procedures are being followed
- Provide advice and guidance to ensure procedures are followed and understood
- Initiate and conduct investigations to resolve problematic discrepancies
- Conduct and supervise regular stock-takes ensuring that they are consistent with data records
- Maintain all security related documentation for audit purposes
- Continuous policing of all areas to maintain high security presence, addressing and reporting all anomalies
- Provide cover for other duties within the HSSE team
- Actively participate and assist in all improvement suggestions
- To support the behaviour of working as One De La Rue, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business
- To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs
- Flexibility is key to this role to meet customer and business demands. This may result in changes to working hours to fulfil key deliverables and mitigate areas of potential risk

- Experience in audit processes
Other requirements
- Flexible and pro-active approach; ability to work well within a team and to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literate- competent in the use of databases and Excel or similar
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and with a degree of initiative
- Good organising, coordinating and planning skills
- Highly diligent and disciplined in following procedures.
