Buro Happold is looking for a Security Engineer with experience in the Built Environment, looking for an opportunity to pursue industry leading designs within a vibrant multi-disciplinary practice.Type of contractPermanentGradeConsultant, SeniorArea of ExpertiseSpecialist ConsultingRegionUKOffice / Project LocationManchester, London, BathRef No7012You’ll be delivering security consultancy and master planning as part of single and multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the UK and internationally, encompassing airports, sports stadia, entertainment and performance venues, world-class higher education facilities, transport hubs, museums, advanced hi-tech facilities and more. You will be client-facing and on a day-to-day basis cover security consultancy, design, project management, operational advice, business development, and even research and development. You can learn more about our Security ConsultancyKey Duties:Assessing threats, vulnerabilities, and risk to produce risk registers.Developing security strategies to statuary requirements.Producing new design concepts whilst keeping abreast of emerging threats and trends.Providing high-level advice to clients in relation to the appropriate security technologies in security.Developing and delivering testing programmes and exercises to assure security programme integrity.Supporting and mentoring graduate security consultants.Researching and writing standards, policies, procedures and work instructions for security operationsResearching and writing protective security intelligence reports and assessments.Your Skills & Experience:A Qualification in in Security and Risk Management or Crime & Criminology or related subjects.Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant institution.Membership of the Security Institute (SyI), Association of Security Consultants (ASC) or International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC).Experience of developing security strategies on a range of projects.Experience of assessing security risks across a variety of projects, sectors, and geographic locations.Willingness to undergo a security vetting if required by projects.What we offer:Hybrid working arrangements.Discretionary annual bonus.Generous holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum, exclusive of Bank Holidays.International working and flexible holiday3pm finish on the last Friday of the month.Company Pension Scheme.Life Assurance and Income Protection.Professional subscriptions.Flexible Benefits – including Cycle scheme, Dental insurance, Optical Cover, Travel insurance, Corporate discounts.Join us to find out what you’re really capable of.Described by our clients as ‘passionate’, ‘innovative’, ‘collaborative’: Buro Happold is an independent, international engineering practice that for over 40 years has become synonymous with the delivery of creative, value led building and city solutions for an ever changing world.
