About Us A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Haringey, North London, are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their wonderful team. The Role We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide 1:1 support to a KS3 boy with challenging behaviour. This is a demanding but rewarding role, and the successful candidate will play a vital part in helping this student achieve their full potential. You will: Work closely with the student to develop positive learning behaviours and strategies for managing their emotions. Implement personalised learning plans to support the student’s academic progress. Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering trust and understanding. Liaise effectively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s support. Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports. You will be: A highly motivated and experienced TA with a proven track record of success in supporting students with SEMH needs. Qualified or working towards a relevant qualification in SEN or a related field (desirable). Skilled in de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies. Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with young people. A clear and effective communicator, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Passionate about inclusive education and committed to safeguarding the welfare of children.
