Start Date: ImmediatelyWe are seeking a passionate Class Teacher to join a Special School in Chigwell. This full-time role offers a temporary to permanent contract and is perfect for an individual dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).As a Class Teacher, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Working closely with support staff, you will ensure that students receive both the academic and emotional support they need to thrive. This role provides excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within special education.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging and tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Support students in both their academic and social development.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching in a special school setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
