Tradewind Recruitment

Job description

Are you an outstanding teacher with a proven track record in supporting students with Special Educational Needs? Join our dedicated team at a SEN school in Gloucester, where we are currently seeking a full-time (part-time considered) educator for our alternative provision setting.

As an experienced teacher, you will need to bring your expertise in handling various challenges, including Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues, challenging behavior, and related obstacles. Our school maintains a small class size of just 5-10 pupils per class, allowing for a unique opportunity to build strong connections with each student and truly impact their lives.

With four classes daily, you will enjoy manageable working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, minimising planning and marking requirements. This enables you to focus your time and energy on what you do best – teaching.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, especially those with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour
  • Possession of relevant teaching qualifications and full qualification to teach in the UK
  • Exceptional classroom management skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Passion for teaching and dedication to helping SEN students achieve their full potential
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work in an alternative provision setting
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Why Choose Tradewind?

  • Competitive pay rates with a commitment to securing the highest possible income for you
  • Access to over 2,500 CPD courses, webinars, and resources through the National College for continuous professional development
  • Flexible working options tailored to your preferences – daily supply, long-term contracts, and permanent positions available, all local to you
  • A focus on your wellbeing, as demonstrated by our recognition as a Sunday Times Top 100 employer for four consecutive years
  • Exceptional candidate service, proudly upholding equal opportunities for all
