As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping us fulfil this mission and transform the lives of the students we serve.Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide targeted support to students with a variety of needs. Your role will include one-on-one assistance, small group support, and general classroom help, all aimed at creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support
- Provide personalized support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, to help them succeed academically and socially.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence through tailored activities and mentorship.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to build students’ self-esteem and emotional well-being.
Classroom Assistance
- Assist teachers in creating and delivering lessons that cater to the unique needs of our students.
- Help to maintain a well-organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress and communicate with the teaching team.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support students during transitions, breaks, and off-site activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development.
- Uphold the school’s strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a patient, caring, and proactive individual who:
- Has experience working with children, especially those with SEN.
- Is knowledgeable about child protection and safeguarding policies.
- Can bring a positive, flexible, and nurturing approach to the classroom.
- Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
