Pay: £85-£110 Per Day (PAYE) Depending on ExperienceAbout The School:
Teaching Personnel are working with a dedicated and inclusive SEN specialist school located in the heart of Kensington & Chelsea, committed to providing exceptional education and support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs. Their nurturing environment fosters growth, independence, and confidence in every child, and we are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to join our team as an Autism (ASD) SEN Teaching Assistant.The Role:
As an Autism (ASD) SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and complex needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to deliver tailored learning experiences, promote social and emotional development, and ensure a safe and positive environment for all pupils.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASD, both in the classroom and during outdoor activities.Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and sensory needs.Help to create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment.Foster independence and encourage positive behaviour management strategies.Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child.Assist with personal care needs, where required.What We’re Looking For:Previous experience working with children with Autism (ASD) or other special educational needs is essential.A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children with complex needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the pupils.Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Why Join Us?The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.A supportive and collaborative working environment.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits package.A welcoming and inclusive school community in a vibrant London borough.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
