Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs School (PRU) in Mitcham, South London.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with secondary-aged pupils who have been referred to the PRU due to their behavioural or medical needs. You will provide in-class support, assist with tailored educational plans, and help students develop key skills in a structured yet nurturing environment.Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time: 5 days per week
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM plus parents evenings
Daily Rate: GBP100
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Contract Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent
SCHOOL TYPE:
A community special school that caters to pupils aged 5 to 16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It offers both primary and secondary education.SEN NEEDS: ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and related behavioural needs.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one years experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs (SEN).
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two yearsOTHER
