Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Haringey, Secondary School

Commencement: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Temporary to Permanent)

Salary: £85 – £90 per day

A new opportunity is available for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant in a secondary school located in Haringey. The role is for an immediate start and extends through the academic year until July 2024, with the potential to transition into a permanent contract. As an SEN teaching assistant, your role will encompass supporting students with SEN within the classroom, providing one-to-one assistance, and participating in small group activities for vulnerable students. Additionally, responsibilities include supporting teachers and students, monitoring progress, and offering constructive feedback.

The school, a mixed secondary institution with good behaviour standards, is easily accessible via public transport. Serving students aged 11-18, the school is an integral part of a team, led by an experienced SENco, with regular team meetings.

The salary for this role is set at £85-£90 per day, with full-time working hours from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, until the end of the academic year.

To qualify for this position, candidates must ideally possess a high-level degree, hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, provide Overseas Police Clearances if applicable, and undergo professional reference checks. The CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history, and individuals must have the legal right to work in the UK.
