1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) WantedAberdareWelsh SpeakingAcademics are currently recruiting for a passionate 1:1 TA to work alongside a pupil at a Welsh medium primary school in Aberdare, starting from September 2024. The role will be full time and long term, initially until October Term, but will be extended until the end of the academic year, with a permanent role also a possibility.The pupil does not have behavioural needs. He needs 1:1 support as he has Sensory Processing Disorder, meaning that he needs constant supervision, mostly to ensure he stays on his feet.So if you’re someone who has the experience/transferrable skills and wants full time work, why not apply? - Assist the teacher in delivering successful lessons
- Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Build and maintain professional relationships with other staff members
- Be a role model to all pupils

What we need from you
- Fluent Welsh Speaker
- An enhanced DBS check (essential) which is subscribed to the DBS Update Service (desirable)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Two recent and professional references
- Experience of working in either an SEN or education setting
