SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)Company: Tradewind RecruitmentLocation: Secondary School in North LincolnshirePosition Type: Full-TimeStart Date: ASAP (Temporary Position until Easter 2024)Salary: PAYE, £700 – £900 per weekJob Description:Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a secondary school in North Lincolnshire. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with Additional Needs, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Education Needs (SEN). While this role can be non-teaching, the ability to provide English Teaching support is desirable.Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead teacher with whole-school responsibility for pupils with Additional Needs, including EAL and SEN.
- Develop and implement strategies to support the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure the delivery of inclusive education practices.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students with Additional Needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students’ progress and support plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
- Extensive experience working in a school, college, or similar educational environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence in students and effectively communicate with parents.
